The Urban Wildlife Working Group (UWG) was formed in 2017. It is a collaboration of multiple stakeholders for the conservation and management of native urban wildlife in Singapore, and to seek solutions for wildlife conflict, rescue, rehabilitation and release.

The Team

UWG comprises a core group of representatives from Mandai Nature and Mandai Wildlife Group (chair), Animal Concerns Research and Education Society (ACRES), National Parks Board (NParks) and National University of Singapore (NUS), together with other organisations and independent parties.

The UWG focuses mainly on low-profile species requiring frequent rescue and rehabilitation, such as common palm civets and bats.
